Dinneen Named Among New Orleans CityBusiness 2016 Women of the Year
New Orleans insurance defense attorney Susan Dinneen has been named one of 50 New Orleans CityBusiness Women of the Year for 2016. Honorees are chosen based on their professional accomplishments and community impact, according to the business newspaper.
Dinneen is active "mentoring young lawyers, recruiting new ones and presenting at continuing legal education conferences," states her profile in the Women of the Year insert. In addition to serving on King, Krebs & Jurgens' recruiting and marketing committees, she maintains a heavy insurance defense caseload which focuses on complex coverage issues and bad faith litigation.
"The most interesting aspect of my work is fighting fraudulent claims, and there are lots of those here. Helping minimize it is good for all of us," said Dinneen.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dinneen's work in the community is listed as a reason for her inclusion among the honorees.
New Orleans CityBusiness notes:
"Dinneen serves on the board of Junior League of New Orleans. She is the planning and development council director overseeing strategic planning . . . [and is] also on the board of the Travelers Aid Society, an organization to help homeless individuals become self-sufficient. The organization provides services such as counseling, housing and job search assistance. She's been on the board eight years, and earlier this year wrapped up a two-year term as president."
The firm congratulates Susan Dinneen on this honor.
