Rowdy Rivals Wins VetLaunch Pitch Competition, Presented by King, Krebs & Jurgens

03.14.2016

King, Krebs & Jurgens congratulates Mike Fernandez, co-founder of Rowdy Rivals, who was the winner of today's 2nd Annual VetLaunch “From Combat to Careers” Accelerator Pitch Competition. The competition, part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, was a chance for Mike and other veterans-turned-entrepreneurs to pitch their business models to a team of judges with the hopes of earning a $5,000 prize package to help develop their venture. Rowdy Rivals' concept is to use satirical web content to drive t-shirt and other merchandise sales to sports fanatics.

The day was the culmination of the VetLaunch Accelerator Program, which strives to harness the leadership experience of military veterans as a resource for creating successful businesses. King, Krebs & Jurgens attorneys both presented group instruction to the Program participants and offered individual legal mentoring, in addition to sponsoring the program.

The Accelerator Program is specifically tailored to Veterans, and covers such topics as how to start a business, choose a legal structure, decipher accounting requirements, market a business, and more.
