Overview

Ryan Ginn is a litigation attorney in the New Orleans office of King & Jurgens whose practice includes commercial litigation and admiralty and maritime issues. He also has extensive experience with first-party property insurance defense in cases from Hurricanes Laura, Delta, and Ida. He has experience in both federal and state courts and has second-chaired five trials in state court for Hurricane Ida-related first-party property cases.

Ryan graduated from Tulane University Law School, where he earned a certificate in Maritime Law and served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Review. His case note Wards No More: The Supreme Court’s Holding in Dutra Group v. Batterton Bars Punitive Damages for Seamen’s Unseaworthiness Claims, 44 TUL. MAR. L.J. 359 (2020) was selected for publication.

A native of Baton Rouge, Ryan received his B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University in 2011. Prior to attending law school, Ryan worked for six years as a sportswriter covering Ohio State athletics, primarily Ohio State football. Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys exploring New Orleans with his wife and their two kids and spending fall Saturdays in Tiger Stadium.
